The appearance of False Prophets and False Christs
There are several religions and numerous denominations in existence today. There are countless churches located all over the world. The bible is interpreted differently by every church depending on how they define “salvation.” Every single one of them insists that they are real. Which church among those found throughout the world is the authentic one, then? Our salvation is not assured unless we find the authentic church.
According to the Bible’s prophecy, false christs and thus false churches would sprout up like the sand in the seashore.
Matthew 24:4-5;24 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.; For false messiahs and false prophets will appear… to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Even Jesus foresaw that during these times many would profess to be the Messiah, create false churches, and lead many people astray.
So what standard must be used to identify fake churches? The foundation for determining authenticity must be the Bible.
The name of the Authentic Church is found in the Bible (The Church of God)
In the bible, there is a specific name of the Church that Jesus and the Apostles attended 2,000 years ago.
1 Corinthians 1:1-2 Paul, called by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus.., To the church of God that is in Corinth.
Galatians 1:13 For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.
The Bible consistently records that the church’s name must be “Church of God”. But is it enough to criticize the church’s authenticity based on its name?
The Church of God must have been founded by Christ. The Church ought to adhere to the teachings of the Bible without altering or adding them. Therefore, the truth that Jesus and His apostles preached and kept during the early church must be found in the true Church of God. Because of this, Jesus emphasized that He and His apostles must serve as the cornerstone of our faith.
Ephesians 2:20 …built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
The time for discernment between the true church and heretical churches has come, and Jesus’ teaching must serve as the standard for comparison. Without a doubt, everything that is not found in the Bible is heretical and false.
The truth Jesus and the Apostles kept (The New Covenant)
There are many records in the Bible concerning the truth that Jesus established in the Church of God in order to save everyone’s souls. Some conditions for the only authentic Church of God, established by God Himself, include the following.
Luke 4:26 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom
Act 17:2-3 As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days, he reasoned with them from the Scriptures.
Passover of the New Covenant
Matthew 26:19 And the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the Passover.
Acts 2:1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
Feast of Tabernacles
John 7:2 … Festival of Tabernacles was near.
1 Corinthians11:1-4 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ… the head of Christ is God… man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head.. every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head.
The Church of God ought to put all of the aforementioned principles into practice in order to demonstrate its legitimacy, as Jesus instructed. Jesus firmly commanded us to pay attention to all of the Bible’s teachings and become wise for our salvation by attending the authentic Church in this age.
John 13:15 I have set you an example so that you should do as I have done for you.
The Church of God that He (Christ) Himself founded, the apostles attended, and those who have the hope of salvation and Heaven must seek is the Church of God that observes the Truth of the New Covenant, including Sabbath, Passover, Pentecost, Tabernacles, and Veil Regulation.
