The Bride of Jesus is Missing
June 27, 2023
The Bride of Jesus in the parable of the wedding banquet did not appear together with Him about 2,000 years ago. However, the Bible teaches us that the missing Bride of Jesus will appear in the last days to invite the guests to receive the blessing of eternal life. Those who will correctly find the missing Bride are the only ones who will enter the kingdom of Heaven.
The Bride of Jesus Did Not Appear at His First Coming
The bride is referred to as the “star of the wedding” by most people. Without her, the wedding will be chaotic and incomplete. Among happy events, Jesus likened the kingdom of Heaven to a wedding banquet. This implies that her appearance is crucial to enter eternal life.
Matthew 22:1-10 Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come… So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.
In the above parable, the Bridegroom stands for Jesus, and the saints who will be saved as guests (Mk 2:19; Rev 19:9). However, the Bride of Jesus was missing at His first coming. This shows us that the time did not yet come for the heavenly wedding banquet to be held.
The Bride of Jesus Finally Appears
Every prophecy of the Bible must be fulfilled without leaving out the smallest letter or the least stroke of a pen (Mt 5:18; 24:35). Therefore, the Bride of Jesus must appear.
When will the Bride Appear?
The identity of His Bride will be unveiled at its appointed time.
Revelation 19:7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready.
In the parable of the wedding banquet in Matthew, the Bride didn’t appear. However, in Revelation, John said that she made herself ready. Revelation is a book of prophecy that the Apostle John wrote around A.D. 96 when he saw in a vision what would take place in the future. Therefore, the event in Revelation 19:7 is to take place at Jesus’ second coming in the last days.
As the people of God who are living in the last days and received the wedding invitation, we must know who she is. Only those who are chosen and invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb can know this secret among eight billion people in the world (Mt 13:10-11).
Who is She?
The mysterious identity of the Bride of Jesus is also written in the Bible.
Revelation 21:9-10 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.
The angel said that he would show the Bride, the wife of the Lamb, to Apostle John. Then the angel showed him the heavenly Jerusalem. Here, we can see that Jerusalem represents the wife of the Lamb.
Galatians 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.
There are so many churches in the world today that claim to believe in Jesus, as numerous as the sand by the sea. Nevertheless, some people deny the existence of the Bride of Jesus who is the heavenly Mother. The Bible concludes by saying that such people can never enter the wedding banquet which represents the everlasting kingdom of heaven. As the Bible says, “Blessed are those who participate in the wedding banquet,” or, “Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast.” We can see that the blessed people, who are invited to the everlasting heavenly wedding banquet, are those who believe the truth about God the Father and also realize and believe the truth about God the Mother completely.
