Through the New Covenant Passover, Receive Eternal Life

“Do you want to receive eternal life?” is a question wherein you will probably get a “Yes” answer from most Christians today. But when asked if they know how to receive it, most of them will say, “Just have faith in God and you will receive eternal life.” However, in the Bible, Jesus show us a different way. According to the teachings of Jesus Christ, it is by celebrating the New Covenant Passover that we can receive eternal life and enter the kingdom of heaven.

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life

John 6:53-54 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

Jesus said that unless we eat His flesh and drink His blood, we cannot receive eternal life. But how can we eat Jesus’ flesh and drink His blood?

Matthew 26:17-19 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’”  

So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

New Covenant Passover

Most people know this scene as “the Last Supper”, but it has its biblical name, that is the “New Covenant Passover”.

Matthew 26:26-28 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

On the night before Jesus’ crucifixion, He celebrated the Passover with His disciples. He took the Passover bread which represents His body and the Passover wine His blood. Also, by celebrating the Passover, we can receive His body and blood which means the forgiveness of sins. This is why Jesus eagerly desired to keep the New Covenant Passover with His disciples(Lk 22:7~). For without it, no one can receive eternal life (Lk 22:15). This is the only way to receive eternal life that the Bible clearly testifies about.

Where Should We Go To Receive Eternal Life?

Since the Bible clearly testifies that there is no other way to receive eternal life but to keep the Passover. So we must go to the church that celebrates this feast just as Jesus did. But among a lot of churches in the world, which church should we go to receive eternal life as well as the forgiveness of our sins?

The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) is the only church that celebrates the Passover according to all the regulations written in the Bible.

Isaiah 25:6-8 On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine—the best of meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations;  he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.

Mountain Zion is the place to celebrate God’s feast

On this mountain, the Lord will prepare an aged wine (the Passover wine) and will swallow up death forever, so that people of the world can receive eternal life. What is this mountain? It is Mountain Zion (Isa 24:23). Zion, in a spiritual point of view, is a place where God’s appointed feasts are celebrated (Isa 25:6-8).  So the church that celebrates the Passover and all the appointed feasts of God is Zion where we must go to receive eternal life. The Passover and all the other feasts included in the 7 Feasts in 3 times (Lev 23:4-5) are only celebrated in the World Mission Society Church of God. Therefore, there is no doubt that this is the place we must go to, the place where we can receive eternal life by celebrating the Passover of the New Covenant.

Only through the Passover of the New Covenant which is being celebrated in the World Mission Society Church of God can we receive eternal life and go back to the kingdom of heaven.
