Christ Ahnsahnghong: About Jesus’ New Name

Have you ever heard of the name Christ Ahnsahnghong? As the people who believe in God, it is a basic requirement to know God’s name.

Isaiah 52:6 “Therefore my people will know my name; …”

Only those who acknowledge God’s name can become His true people and be saved.

Psalm 91:14 …,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.”

He even gave them the right to become children of God:

John 1:12-13 “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— …”

Therefore, knowing and receiving Savior’s name specifically is such a great blessing and a heavenly privilege. For that reason, it is not too much to say that our salvation depends on whether or not we know and receive His name correctly.

The Name of the Savior in Each Age

Now, let us see how God perfectly and restlessly works for our redemption:

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) “To everything there is a season, …”

Our world is so restricted by time and space. For example, there is:

Ecclesiastes 3:2-3 “a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, . . .”

To redeem all His people, God is administering the 6,000 year work of salvation dividing it into three different ages: the age of the Father, the age of the Son, and the age of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them …”

In each age, God allowed His people different names of the Savior: the name Jehovah in the age of the Father, the name Jesus in the age of the Son, and the new name in the age of the Holy Spirit. This is why Jesus said to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. For it shows that the Father has His own name, the Son also has His own name and the Holy Spirit has His own name, too.

Name of the Father – Jehovah

So, let us find out the Savior in the age of the Father:

Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, …. be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

This was written by Prophet Isaiah who lived in the age of the Father when the name of the Savior was Jehovah. It means, people who lived in this age were saved only by the name Jehovah and nothing else even though they claimed to believe in God.

Isaiah 43:11 “I myself am the LORD; I am the only Savior.”

Name of the Son – Jesus

However, as it is also prophesied by Isaiah in the previous verse (Isa 9:6), there will be the time God the Father Jehovah will be born as child coming to the earth in physical body form as a son. This prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus was born. By this time, the age of the Father changes to the age of the Son. And as the age changes the name of the Savior also changes from Jehovah to Jesus:

Acts 4:11-12 “Jesus is “the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.” …. for there is no other name under heaven …”

One might say that these are contradictory verses. In Isaiah, Jehovah said He is the only Savior but in this verse, Jesus said He is the only Savior.

Time Limitation of the Savior’s name(Ahnsahnghong)

Well, Jehovah and Jesus are one and the same according to the Trinity. But let us have a better understanding of this providence by understanding the concept of time limitation. For example, we call our meal in the morning as breakfast and once noon arrives we eat it as lunch but it becomes dinner in the evening. Like this, the name changes as time also changes. As one might as well say, “There is nothing permanent but change.”

Apostle Paul who wrote the book of Galatians boldly testified Jesus’ name as Savior’s name in the age of the Son. He understood the concept of time limitation. This is also why only those who knew and received Jesus’ name were saved in this age, even though many claimed to believe in God.

How about us now?

Name of the Holy Spirit – Jesus’ New Name(Ahnsahnghong)

Now, we neither live in the age of the Father nor in the age of the Son. But, we are now living in the age of the Holy Spirit. So, as the age of the Son changes to the age of the Holy Spirit, it only means the name of the Savior also changes from Jesus to the “new name”:

Revelation 3:11-13 “I am coming soon. … and I will also write on them my new name…”

In this age of the Holy Spirit, we can neither be saved in the name of Jehovah nor Jesus as our Savior but the new name. Many people already know Jesus’ name even when they don’t believe in Him. But not many people understand the prophecies about Jesus’ new name in the Bible. As seen above, this is a prophecy about Jesus’ second coming to the earth when He said “I am coming soon”. He once came to this world bearing the name Jesus but once He comes back He will bear a different name for the salvation of His true people (Heb 9:28).

Jesus’ New Name(Ahnsahnghong) is written on Him

Revelation 2:17 “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. .. give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.”

As it is said, only those who receive the white stone can know the new name. Then, what is the ‘white stone’ in the Bible?

Acts 4:11 “Jesus is “the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.”

1 Peter 2:4 “As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him.”

According to the Bible, white symbolizes righteousness and the stone as Christ, Himself. Therefore, the white stone with a new name is Jesus with a new name.

As the book of Revelation was written when Jesus had already ascended to Heaven, we can understand easily that He will have new name on His Second Coming.

The New Name(Ahnsahnghong) and the Forgiveness of our Sins

On Jesus’ Second Coming, He will open the way of salvation for those who accept Him and His new name. To know what the new name is, we must receive the Second Coming Christ who came to forgive our sins:

Mark 2:7 “What is he saying? This is blasphemy! Only God can forgive sins!” (NLT)

How does God give us the forgiveness of our sins?

Ephesians 1:7 “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”

Then, what is the way to receive His blood?

Matthew 26:17, 26-28 “On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to prepare the Passover meal for you?” … As they were eating, … “Each of you drink from it, for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many.” (NLT)

According to the Bible, only God has authority to forgive sinners and only His blood can remove our transgressions. He gives this blessing to us by celebrating the New Covenant Passover.

Jesus’ New Name – Christ Ahnsahnghong

2000 years ago, Jesus did so in Mark’s upper room before the night He was betrayed. He established and celebrated the New Covenant Passover with His disciples. Therefore, Jesus was God who forgave sins of the people. However, this New Covenant Passover was abolished in 325 AD at the Council of Nicaea. And because of that no one was able to celebrate it again for a long time. Despite the great number of theologians, clergymen and priests, no one was able to restore the lost truth of the Passover.

Yet by the year 1948, Christ Ahnsahnghong re-established the New Covenant Passover as the feast of God, the truth hidden for so long, that allows us the forgiveness of our sins. Christ Ahnsahnghong fulfilled all these prophecies, He is the white stone with a new name. He is the Holy Spirit and His name is the Savior’s name in this age of the Holy Spirit through which we can receive salvation.
