Who is the Last Adam in the Bible?
March 6, 2023
In the Bible, there are two kinds of Adam. The first Adam is the first man who existed in the Garden of Eden, and there is also the Last Adam.
Then who is the last Adam mentioned in the Bible? Let us give ear to the words of the prophecies of the Bible.
The Bible Testifies about the Last Adam
The sole purpose of studying the Bible is to recognize the Savior who gives us eternal life. In these last days, we must recognize the Second Coming Jesus who is to come as the Last Adam to give us eternal salvation.
John 5:39 “You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me…”
In the above verse, Jesus clearly stated, “these are the Scriptures that testify about me (Savior).” Only through the prophecies in the Bible could the people of God recognize Jesus who came for the first time as the Savior. In the same way, we can also recognize Jesus who comes a second time only through the prophecies of the Bible.
Actually, the Bible says that the Second Coming Jesus will come to this earth as the “last Adam”.
1 Corinthians 15:45 (NIV) So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being” the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.
1 Corinthians 15:45 (NLT) The Scriptures tell us, “The first man, Adam, became a living person.” But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit.
It is written that the “last Adam” is a life-giving Spirit. Only the Savior can give eternal life. And in the New Living Translation, the Last Adam clearly indicates Christ who is our Savior.
Then, who is the last Adam who gives eternal life to mankind? And how does he give eternal life accordingly?
Who is the last Adam?
Romans 5: 14-15 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come. But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
“Adam is the pattern of the one to come.” Then, who is the One to come? It is written, “the one man Christ Jesus”, is the one to come. Doesn’t this mean that Adam represents Jesus who came 2,000 years ago? However, the book of Corinthians emphasized the “last Adam”, the one who comes last. We can understand that the last Adam is Jesus who comes a second time as Christ in the last days.
How does the Last Adam give eternal life?
Why does Jesus come a second time as the last Adam?
The last Adam is a life-giving Spirit. It means Jesus will come again in these last days to give us eternal life.
How does he give us eternal life in these last days?
John 6:53-54 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
Who can have eternal life at the last day? They are those who eat Jesus’ flesh and drink His blood. This means that the last Adam, Jesus who comes a second time will appear in these last days and allow us to eat His flesh and drink His blood so we can have eternal life at the last day.
If so, how can we eat Jesus’ flesh and drink his blood so we can have eternal life in these last days?
Matthew 26:17-19 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’ ” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover
What did Jesus say He would celebrate? The Passover! Let us see how they kept the Passover.
Matthew 26:26-28 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
What did Jesus call the Passover bread? He called it “His body.” What did He call the Passover wine? He called it “His blood.” In the book of John, what should we eat to have eternal life at the last day? It is the flesh and blood of Jesus.
Therefore, the way our Savior gives eternal life in these last days is to let us eat His flesh and blood through the truth of the Passover.
2000 years ago, Jesus Christ established the Passover of the New Covenant but it was abolished in 325 AD at the Council of Nicaea. This means that the truth in which people could receive eternal life disappeared. This is the very reason why Jesus must come a second time in the last days in order to restore the truth of the Passover for the people of God to receive eternal life in the last days.
Last Adam is the Second Coming Jesus
The last Adam is a life-giving Spirit, and the Christ comes a second time in the last days to give us salvation — eternal life. So, this means that the Second Coming Jesus must come in these last days to save humankind who is destined to die, by giving us eternal life through the Passover!
Therefore, the Last Adam which is the Second Coming Jesus in this last days must bring this Passover to give us eternal life. It is only Christ Ahnsahnghong who brought this Passover of the new covenant in these last days! So, the Last Adam, the life-giving Spirit is the Second Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong. Throughout the world, it is only the World Mission Society Church of God that celebrates the Passover of the New Covenant the way Jesus did 2,000 years ago. It is because Christ Ahnsahnghong is the true Second Coming Jesus who restored the Passover of the New Covenant that disappeared in history.
So the Church of God believes and follows Christ Ahnsahnghong according to the prophecies of the Bible.
